With great success , under the magical sounds of the Opera and glamorous guests , with first of all His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco , and the brother of Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco who is also the Secretary General of the Princess Charlene Foundation , Gareth Wittstock , was held , the first annual Maria Callas Monaco Gala & Awards , by its President and Founder , and famous Royal Artist Ioanna Efthimiou , in the iconic Salle Empire of the Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo , on 10 May 2021.
The event was held under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco . The event was also supported by the Greek community of Monaco and the Greek Tourism Organisation .
The inspiration of the event is the revival of the first legendary Gala that took place in 1960 , with the great opera diva Maria Callas enchanting the crowds with her unique voice inside the Opera House of Monte Carlo and in front of her close friends , Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco , and of course her great love Aristotle Onassis . The magnificent Gala included award presentations to outstanding personalities who have excelled in their personal work through different fields such as , music , Opera , sports , medical sciences , entrepreneurship , tourism , philanthropy as well as highlighting the work of Maria Callas . The event began with the reception of the Prince by the organizer Ioanna Efthimiou , who first guided him to the art exhibition of a well-known art gallery in Monaco represented by Iro Vachari – Kampani , and then personally introduced all the award winners of the event .
Big names were awarded such as the internationally renowned singer Nana Mouskouri , the Monegasque young pianist Stella Almondo who impressed the audience with her great talent , the well-known Greek soprano Elena Kelesidis , the world famous tennis players Maria Sakkari and Stefanos Tsitsipas , the pioneers in the field of international entrepreneurship Elena Amvrosiadou, Vassilis Katsos and Nelly Katsou. From the medical field, the Rector of the Kapodistrian University of Athens , Greece Dr. Meletios Ath. Demopoulos , the infectious disease specialist Dr. Sotirios Tsiodras , the well-known businessman in the medical field Vassilios Apostolopoulos , Athenagoras Andriadakis with the Tourism Award , owner of a 5 stars luxury hotel unit in Crete island of Greece , as well as Liana Sciurles for the work of highlighting Maria Callas in Greece , and the Archpriest of the Cyan Coast and Monaco Michael Seliniotakis for his charity work. Ioanna Efthimiou welcomed the audience , and referred mainly to Maria Callas , but also to the opportunity through this Gala for the strengthening of relations between Greece and Monaco , where this idea aroused more interest from Prince Albert , who pledged to support this event to become a successful institution that will be held every year in Monaco . Greetings were also addressed by the active President of the Greek community of Monaco , Sophia Vachari Tsouvelekakis who actively helped in this event , as well as the Greek Ambassador for 2021 , Kalliroi Danali-Apostolopoulou , who is always at the forefront of the effort to support actions that promote extroversion and the image of Greece abroad . This was followed by a meal of high gastronomic demands by the famous Chef Alain Ducasse , in the specially decorated spring space , and Art de la table with wonderful floral compositions by Marco Traverso – Monaco . In this special decoration was the first presentation of the album ‘ Opera Tables ‘ , by the well-known PR manager George Davlas , which takes you to unique places in the world inspired by the Opera .
The event concluded with an Opera concert by the great musicians , Stella Almondo ( piano ) , Alexis Gournel ( piano ) , and Elena Kuszheleva ( Soprano ). At the end of the event all guests received a unique jewelry , designed by jewelry designer Xaris Apergi , who she has also created the Maria Callas ring exclusively for Her Serene Princess Charlene of Monaco . Co-presenter of the event was the Director of International Relations & Sports Diplomacy Peace & Sport , Iris Vlachoutsikou . Η αναβίωση του θρυλικού Gala Maria Callas στο Μονακό .
Με μεγάλη επιτυχία υπό τους ήχους της Όπερας και λαμπερούς προσκεκλημένους , και πρώτο τον Πρίγκιπα Αλβέρτο του Μονακό , καθώς και τον αδελφό της Πριγκίπισσας Charlene του Μονακό που διατελεί και γενικός γραμματέας του Princess Charlene Foundation , Garett Wittstock , πραγματοποιήθηκε το πρώτο ετήσιο Maria Callas Monaco Gala & Awards , από την Πρόεδρο και ιδρύτρια του , και διάσημη ζωγράφο Ιωάννα Ευθυμίου , στην εμβληματική αίθουσα Salle Empire του Hôtel de Paris στο Μόντε Κάρλο , στις 10 Μαίου 2021.
Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιήθηκε υπό την Αιγίδα και Υψηλή Προστασία του Πρίγκιπα Αλβέρτου του Μονακό . Επίσης την εκδήλωση στήριξαν η Ελληνική κοινότητα του Μονακό και ο Ελληνικός Οργανισμός Τουρισμού .
Έμπνευση της εκδήλωσης είναι η αναβίωση του πρώτου θρυλικού Gala που έγινε το 1960 , με τη μεγάλη ντίβα της Όπερας Μαρία Κάλλας να μαγεύει τα πλήθη με τη μοναδική φωνή της μέσα στην Όπερα του Μόντε Κάρλο και μπροστά στους στενούς της φίλους , Πρίγκιπα Ρενιέ και Πριγκίπισσα Γκρέυς του Μονακό , και φυσικά το μεγάλο έρωτά της Αριστοτέλη Ωνάση .
Το μαγευτικό Gala περιελάμβανε απονομές βραβείων σε εξέχουσες προσωπικότητες που διέπρεψαν με το προσωπικό τους έργο μέσα από διαφορετικούς τομείς όπως , η μουσική , η Όπερα , ο αθλητισμός , οι ιατρικές επιστήμες , η επιχειρηματικότητα , ο τουρισμός , η φιλανθρωπία καθώς και η ανάδειξη του έργου της Μαρία Κάλλας .
Η εκδήλωση ξεκίνησε με την υποδοχή του Πρίγκιπα από τη διοργανώτρια Ιωάννα Ευθυμίου , η οποία αρχικά τον ξενάγησε στην έκθεση έργων τέχνης γνωστής Γκαλερί του Μονακό που εκπροσωπείται από την Ηρώ Βαχάρη – Καμπάνη , και στη συνέχεια του συνέστησε προσωπικά όλους τους βραβευθέντες της εκδήλωσης .
Μεγάλα ονόματα βραβεύτηκαν όπως η διεθνούς φήμης τραγουδίστρια Νανά Μούσχουρη , η Μονεγάσκα νεαρή πιανίστρια Stella Almondo που εντυπωσίασε με το ταλέντο της το κοινό , η γνωστή Ελληνίδα σοπράνο Έλενα Κελεσίδη , οι παγκοσμίου φήμης τενίστες Μαρία Σάκκαρη και Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς , οι πρωτοπόροι στο χώρο της διεθνούς επιχειρηματικότητας Έλενα Αμβροσιάδου, Βασίλης Κάτσος και Νέλλυ Κάτσου.
Από τον ιατρικό χώρο ο Πρύτανης του Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών Δρ. Μελέτης Αθ. Δημόπουλος , ο λοιμωξιολόγος Δρ. Σωτήρης Τσιόδρας , ο γνωστός επιχειρηματίας στον ιατρικό χώρο Βασίλης Αποστολόπουλος , ο Αθηναγόρας Ανδριαδάκης με το βραβείο Τουρισμού , ιδιοκτήτης μεγάλης ξενοδοχειακής μονάδας , καθώς η Λιάνα Σκουρλή για το έργο της ανάδειξης της Μαρία Καλλας στην Ελλάδα , και ο Αρχιπρεσβύτερος της Κυανής Ακτής και Μονακό Μιχαήλ Σεληνιώτακης για το φιλανθρωπικό του έργο .
Η Ιωάννα Ευθυμίου έκανε το καλωσόρισμα του κοινού , και αναφέρθηκε κυρίως στη Μαρία Κάλλας , αλλά και στην ευκαιρία μέσα από αυτό το Gala για τη σύσφιξη των σχέσεων Ελλάδας και Μονακό , όπου αυτή η ιδέα προκάλεσε περισσότερο το ενδιαφέρον του Πρίγκιπα Αλβέρτου , ο οποίος δεσμεύτηκε να στηρίξει αυτή την εκδήλωση ώστε να γίνει ένας επιτυχημένος θεσμός που θα γίνεται κάθε χρόνο στο Μονακό .
Χαιρετισμό επίσης απηύθηναν η δραστήρια Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής κοινότητας του Μονακό , Σοφία Βαχάρη Τσουβελεκάκη η οποία βοήθησε ενεργά στη διοργάνωση αυτή , καθώς και η Ελληνίδα Πρέσβειρα για το 2021 , Καλλιρρόη Δανάλη-Αποστολοπούλου, που βρίσκεται πάντα στην πρώτη γραμμή της προσπάθειας για την ενίσχυση δράσεων που προάγουν την εξωστρέφεια και την εικόνα της Ελλάδας στο εξωτερικό .
Ακολούθησε γεύμα υψηλών γαστρονομικών απαιτήσεων από το σεφ Alain Ducasse , μέσα στον ειδικά ανοιξιάτικο διακοσμημένο χώρο , και Art de la table με υπέροχες ανθό συνθέσεις .
Σε αυτό τον ιδιαίτερο διάκοσμο έγινε και η πρώτη παρουσίαση του λευκώματος ‘ Opera Tables ‘ , του γνωστού PR manager Γιώργου Ντάβλα που σε ταξιδεύει σε μοναδικά μέρη του κόσμου εμπνευσμένο από το χώρο της Όπερας .
Η εκδήλωση ολοκληρώθηκε με κονσέρτο Όπερας από τους μουσικούς , Stella Almondo ( πιάνο ) , Alexis Gournel ( πιάνο ) , και Elena Kuszheleva
( Σοπράνο ).
Στο τέλος της εκδήλωσης όλοι οι προσκεκλημένοι παρέλαβαν ένα μοναδικό κόσμημα , σχεδιασμένο από την designer κοσμημάτων Χάρις Απέργη , η οποία φιλοτέχνησε και το Maria Callas ring αποκλειστικά για την Πριγκίπισσα Charlene του Μονακό .
Συμπαρουσιάστρια της εκδήλωσης ήταν η διευθύντρια διεθνών σχέσεων & αθλητικής διπλωματίας Peace & Sport , Ίρις Βλαχούτσικου .
